What is an Internet merchant account?

An Internet merchant account has a feature called a virtual terminal that can be accessed from any computer with Internet access. The merchant is able to use the virtual terminal to charge credit cards while on the go. This feature is especially useful when coupled with a laptop that has wireless Internet capabilities.

The Authorize.net® payment gateway is one of the most widely used gateways on the market and virtually all shopping carts are compatible with it. Before deciding upon which shopping cart you will be using just double-check that it is compatible with the Authorize.net® gateway. Most shopping cart providers have a compatibility list prominently displayed somewhere on their website.

What gateway does MME use?
MME in an authorized reseller of the Authorize.net Payment Processing Gateway. The Authorize.net gateway is very versatile and easy to use. In fact, it is as powerful and feature-packed as other gateways that cost twice as much.

I have a custom payment gateway, can I use an MME Internet merchant account with it?
